Carles Valverde
Carles Valverde studied sculpture at the Escola Llotja in Barcelona where he obtained his diploma in 1987. After 15 years living and working in Switzerland (1990 – 2005), he spends over 8 years in Son Servera in Mallorca (Spain), before returning to Switzerland in 2013.
Since 1986, he has hold individual exhibitions in private galleries, mainly in Spain, Switzerland and Germany. In 2016, the Canton de Vaud invites him to show his work at Espace Arlaud, a 4-storey museum in the centre of Lausanne, which is entirely committed to his work.
He has also participated to numerous group exhibitions and fairs throughout Europe (ARCO, Art Cologne, Art Frankfurt, Art Paris, Art Zurich… )
Many of his works are also part of public collections like Nestlé, UBS, Hoffmann-La Roche, Crédit Suisse, Fonds des arts plastiques de la Ville de Lausanne, Fonds cantonal de décoration et d’art visuel de l’Etat de Genève, Musée Jenisch (Vevey, Switzerland), the town hall of Terrassa, his home town, and Ars Fundum (Madrid).
Monumental artworks of his are in Lausanne (CH),Terrassa (Monument to Lluis Companys), Poland and Mallorca.
